Alexandra Ferguson

I don't usually particularly LOVE the whole "words on pillows" motif, but I believe Alexandra Ferguson's pieces are my exception to that rule. I think pillows like these could be fantastic accents in any living room with bold colors. I think the trick is to just not use too many of them. If you walk into a room and there are one or two of these "phrase pillows" scattered on a wing chair or sofa, you actually notice them, and then can appreciate them more in their environment. When I see too many in a room I think Britney Spears and her infamous phrase t-shirts. Too much? I also like how Alexander calls her business "A sassy little pillow company". English Muffin likes too! Happy Friday, guys!

Sperm Whale Carvings

I'm assuming it's a strange thing to be REALLY into... but I LOVE these! When I was little I remember (completely rationally) believing that we could absolutely own a pet whale and just have him live in our swimming pool. I guess my fondness of whales never really went away. I appreciate the simplicity of these carvings with their distressed paint and profiled forms. You will definitely find me putting one above my front door someday. Happy Sperm Whale Thursday!
