Painted Stairs
I fully realize this is an odd thing to be "into", but I just adore a good execution of a painted staircase. Hallways can be such a tricky thing to decorate, and the staircase is such a focal point. Why not use it to its full stylistic potential? Someday I want a house with two staircases; one in the front, and one off the kitchen. Why? Because I'm psycho. Happy Wednesday!

Samantha French
Wow. Samantha's work has been all over the blogosphere recently... and NO WONDER why. Breathtakingly stunning. This swim series is incredible. I'm mesmerized by what she does with cascading light. Absolutely beautiful. Can someone please please PLEASE get me one (or THREE) of these prints for Christmas??? See more of her collection on etsy here.

Happy Vintage
My brother-in-law sent this Etsy shop to me thinking I'd like... Needless to say, he was right. These are the kinds of dishes and glassware that I'm CONVINCED come alive at night to play when everyone in the house is fast asleep. So much character. So happy. Good find, Tone Tone!

Friday Happiness
Some genius from my favorite idiot geniuses, Wobert & Japancakes. Excellent job, gentlemen. Excellent job.
Missing our buddy
Sometimes it makes me sad, though, Hotdog being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice, but still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend.
