Faux Taxidermy

Animal friendly animal heads! Parfait! This style has been all over the place recently (especially now that Anthropologie has gotten in on the action), and I'm loving it. Of course it's cool to see a huge moose head above the fireplace of a grand ski lodge, or a bear rug in an old study... but the Bambie-loving-little-kid in me does always feel the pangs of sadness wondering how they got there. I'm adoring the work done by Frederique Morrel. There's an entire collection of embroidered taxidermy on his site that's just spectacular. But Rachel Denny's "Domestic Trophies" are my absolute favorite. Definitely buying one for myself. Love these.

Tweed Furniture

Would love a big ole' comfy tweed coach to collapse into right about now... Love this look.

My Bearded Pigeon

Although these pillows ARE divine and I love each and every one of them, I think it's probably safe to say that I'd buy pretty much anything from a store called My Bearded Pigeon. I mean, just LOOK at that pigeon. Genius. See more from Cath Young's collection here. Her website is pretty happy as well. She's also featured via PoppyTalk Handmade! Happy Tuesday kids.

Fruit Fly

I may just be in a weird mood, but I love these. These would look great with plants outside, or tucked between books and trinkets in a tall book shelf, no? They're just so round and hysterical. Of course the whale is my personal favorite. See more for yourself here at Fruit Fly's Etsy page.

Wood Tables + White Chairs

While meandering (once again) around ABC Home this weekend, I was admiring a number of their dining room table and chairs set ups. The one that caught my eye the most was their exquisite raw wood dining table surrounded by beautiful white upholstered chairs. I LOVE this look. There's something truly elegant about the rawness of the wood, coupled with the chic simplicity of the stark white chairs. Big fan. Now, saving up to buy that table... that's another issue...

Alexandra Ferguson

I don't usually particularly LOVE the whole "words on pillows" motif, but I believe Alexandra Ferguson's pieces are my exception to that rule. I think pillows like these could be fantastic accents in any living room with bold colors. I think the trick is to just not use too many of them. If you walk into a room and there are one or two of these "phrase pillows" scattered on a wing chair or sofa, you actually notice them, and then can appreciate them more in their environment. When I see too many in a room I think Britney Spears and her infamous phrase t-shirts. Too much? I also like how Alexander calls her business "A sassy little pillow company". English Muffin likes too! Happy Friday, guys!

Can I live with you, Sheryl?

Anyone see Sheryl Crow's spread in Elle magazine that features her NYC loft? It's incredible. Let's even forget for the moment, shall we, how HUGE it is... the decor alone is enough to swoon over. LOVE her style... (or her stylist's style). Thank you, Mom, for the tip on this post.
