Faux Taxidermy

Animal friendly animal heads! Parfait! This style has been all over the place recently (especially now that Anthropologie has gotten in on the action), and I'm loving it. Of course it's cool to see a huge moose head above the fireplace of a grand ski lodge, or a bear rug in an old study... but the Bambie-loving-little-kid in me does always feel the pangs of sadness wondering how they got there. I'm adoring the work done by Frederique Morrel. There's an entire collection of embroidered taxidermy on his site that's just spectacular. But Rachel Denny's "Domestic Trophies" are my absolute favorite. Definitely buying one for myself. Love these.

Wall Arrangement Ideas

In desperate need of some arrangement inspiration. I don't have a FULL wall to fill, but little gaps here and there that need some lovin'. Above are some favorites that I pulled.

Hoping I find some Christmas present inspirations here in the Keep Calm Gallery. LOVE each and every one of these prints.

Wall/Hanging Plants

My tiny Manhattan apartment doesn't really allow for this sort of wall planter decor, but I still love it.

Jen Mussari

I love Jen Mussari's Etsy pieces. She has some really awesome posters and prints for sale that are quite adorable. They're all such sarcastic yet charming pieces of art. The word impish comes to mind for whatever reason. Anyways, take a look at them here. Can Phones and George are definitely my favorites. Enjoy!

Silhouette Plates

How cool are these? I'm really loving Andrew Tanner's silhouetted collection... they look really beautiful against both stark and contrasting backgrounds. He's London-based though, so expect London prices. Some really great work though. Take a look.
